Bass Fishing Report

2020 has been incredible despite Covid knocking on everyone’s door. With social distancing and face coverings being at the the forefront of most conversations these days, fishing has been a great escape. We have been very busy catching and releasing many big fish on fly and spinning rods. Maine has blessed us with some of the best weather so far this summer. These hot days have bass looking up in search of damsel flies and hatches coming off during the hottest part of the day. Try a black and blue popper when you see a fish rise, drop fly a couple feet above rise and let it dead drift, then give a gentle pop and that should trigger a strike!

These new protocols haven’t stopped the fish from biting, so get out there!
